Microsoft is expected to launch at least two new high-end Lumia smartphones, but they won't be announced until Windows 10 Mobile gets released.
However, information about these two handsets codenamed Cityman and Talkman have already surfaced, so we know quite a few things about their specs.
Unfortunately, we don't have any photos showing either of the two smartphones, though many designers and fans have imagined the Lumia 940 in concept pictures.
Most of these concept ideas have one thing in common and that would be the fact that Lumia 940's body is made of aluminum. Obviously, that doesn't mean that Microsoft's Lumia 940 (or whatever the name) will use the same material for its chassis.
The newest Lumia 940 concept phone shows a device that features the same aluminum unibody with slim form factor and rounded edges.
Top-notch 3D touch technology and extra security features
Designer Lucas Silva attached some specs to the Lumia 940's concept images. Some of the details mentioned by the designer have already been confirmed from other sources, so most of these specs might actually be included in the real Lumia 940.
For example, we expect Microsoft's next flagship smartphone to pack iris scanner and fingerprint sensor. In addition, a 20-megapixel PureView camera will be present on the back, which will feature autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording.
On the inside, the Lumia 940 is likely to be equipped with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB of RAM. It may also packs either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory.
The 5-inch full HD (1080p) display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating. Last but not least, the smartphone will be powered by a huge 3,200 mAh battery (non-removable?) and it will ship with Windows 10 Mobile right out of the box.
