A heavily disguised Huawei P8 shows up ahead of launch.

The Huawei P8 is coming that’s for sure, and with only 7 days until the launch in London another spy photo of the flagship has been released.

Of course the phone in the photos has been heavily disguised with a thick rubber body so we cannot see the whole design, but a few details have been shown to give us an idea of what to expect.

The photographer of the photos has kindly lifted one edge of the plastic cover to reveal dual SIM trash on what looks to be a rounded alloy chassis. With this detail in mind we are expecting the look of the chassis to have a similar profile to the iPhone 6.

Another nice photo is the “about the phone” screen which confirms the Huawei P8 has a 1920 x 1080 display, 2GB RAM, and an octacore 1.8Ghz processor. With just 2GB RAM we believe this to be the ‘Lite’ version of the P8 and a more powerful model will be offered with at least 3GB RAM. EMUI 3.0 based on Android 4.4 is shown on this model.

Huawei P8, April 15th in London.

Huawei’s upcoming flagship, the Huawei P8, is going to launch on April 15th in London. We’ve seen a ton of leaks and rumors regarding this device thus far, including a number of official teasers by the company. Huaweihas released an official teaser video yesterday entitled “Capture The Wonder Of Light”.

The video wasn’t exactly revealing as far as the device’s looks or features go, but it did hint that a really capable camera is on the way, well, kind off. There were a few hints in the video itself, and the whole theme of the video kind of hints at an OIS camera which will offer great low-light performance.
That being said, the “P8″ page is now live on the company’s official webpage. The teaser video is listed there along with some details about the launch of this handset. The listing says that the launch event will kick off at 3PM BST (British Standard Time) on April 15th in London. Huawei will livestream the event on their official YouTube channel, and even the location of the event itself is listed on this page (source link down below).
This is yet another teaser by Huawei in a way, the company has also listed the following caption “Ignite The Night With 7 Colors Of The Rainbow”. This could be yet another camera teaser, or perhaps a hint that the device will be available in a range of colors, which is not that likely. Either way, the event is only a week away, so stay tuned for that.
The Huawei P8 will quite probably feature very thin bezels on the sides, and the device has already been certified by TENAA in China, so we basically know its specs. This handset will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Huawei’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 930 or Kirin 935 SoC will power on this device.
The Kirin 930 will be included according to TENAA, but some reports which arrived a couple of days ago claim that the company will opt for the Kirin 935 instead. This device will also ship with a 13-megapixel camera on its back and  5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. You’ll also be able to take advantage of 4G LTE connectivity which will be available on the Huawei P8. Fingerprint scanner has also been mentioned several times now, and you can expect premium build quality here as well.

Huawei P8 retail box_1
Huawei hasn’t launched that many devices in 2015, but we’re seeing more and more leaks and rumors regarding this company’s products lately. As you all probably know by now, Huawei has launched the company’s first Android Wear-powered smartwatch during MWC, the Huawei Watch. Yesterday we’ve seen some leaked images and details regarding Huawei’s upcoming Honor Cherry device, and now we have some more Huawei P8 details to share with you, read on.
This China-based smartphone OEM will unveil their new flagship, Huawei P8, on April 15th in London. The event has been scheduled and leaks just keep on coming. Some new images of the device itself surfaced again, same goes for the retail packaging, and even the alleged price has been mentioned in several rumors. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll see three new leaked renders of the Huawei P8. Neither of those images is showing the whole device, but you get to see its camera and dual-LED flash, chamfered edges on the side, power / lock button and volume rockers. According to the latest rumors, that power button might double as a fingerprint scanner. These new renders once again confirm that the device will sport a premium metal build, and chamfered edges are on board as well.
The fourth image in the gallery is actually an official one. Huawei has posted this image via the company’s official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, and it seems like this will be the device’s official retail packaging. We’re not sure, of course, but it sure seems like it. The last piece of information that we have to share today is this device’s alleged price. According to the rumors, the device will be available a week after its launch, April 22nd, and will cost 2,999 Yuan ($484).
According to previous information from TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), the device sport a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. Huawei’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 930 64-bit octa-core processor will power on this device, and you can also expect Android 5.0 Lollipop to come pre-installed here with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. The 13-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this device along with a dual-LED flash.

New Huawei P8 pictures snapped.

On April 15th, Huawei is expected to unveil the Huawei P8. Two versions will be presented. One is made with aluminum alloy and the other will use zirconia ceramic. The P8 will feature a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood is an octa-core Kirin 930 CPU with 3GB of RAM inside. 32GB of native storage is on board and a microSD slot allows for extra memory if needed. A 13MP camera is on back while the 8MP snapper in front handles selfies and video chats. A 3000mAh battery powers up the handset.

The Huawei P8 Lite will include a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. A 1.2GHz Kirin 620 processor powers the model, with 2GB of RAM inside and 16GB of native storage. A 13MP camera is on back with a 5MP camera on front. Pricing and availability for the P8 Lite is unknown at this time.

Returning to the Huawei P8, the phone is expected to be released on April 22nd, one week after the unveiling. That phone is priced at the equivalent of $484 USD. We do have a trio of newly snapped photos of the P8 that includes the chamfered edges of the phone, the rear camera and flash, and the side-mounted power button that might have a fingerprint scanner embedded inside.
